We conduct training to the 1930-40s standards throughout the year. This years  schedule is below. While we do use mostly period equipment, for safety reasons we use a few pieces of modern equipment and some modern techniques. However, most is true to the times.

 

• 17 – 20 Jan Winter Training, Stabler, WA: Snow ski, snow shoe, winter fighting. Cost: Member $0.00, Non-member $15.00. Meals $22.00 Period Event with arms. Period Cabin Facilities

• 13 -15 Jun Alpine Training Timberline, OR: Alpine march, Low level Mtn Climbing. Member $10, Non-member $25. Meals $TBA Period Event without arms. Summit Meadows Camp Ground, Government Camp, OR. Equipment needed will be crampons, ropes, ice axe or climbing axe, and very good boots. This does not include the cost of the lift ticket at Timberline lodge for the “magic mile.”

• 26 – 28 Sep Finland Tactical/Training (Battle for Archangel), Mount Hood National Forest (Summit Meadows, OR): Land navigation, fighting positions, use of mounts for transport. Member $65.00, Non-member $85.00 (In Cabin) Member $15.00, Non-member $20.00 (In camp ground). Meals $TBD. Period Event with arms. Cabin for German Mountain Troops.
